You don't need a big wedding to have an incredibly meaningful celebration, and Kelsey and Callum's intimate wedding at Tiffany's Maleny was the perfect example.
Travelling all the way from South Australia with just nine guests, including their two gorgeous daughters, they chose to celebrate their love with the people who mattered most.
With elegant black and white styling, a beautiful hinterland setting and some seriously emotional moments, this wedding had my heart!
Planning a Sunshine Coast Wedding from Interstate
Planning a wedding from another state might sound a little daunting, but it really doesn't have to be.
As a local Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, I love helping couples plan their photography even when we can't meet in person beforehand.
For Kelsey and Callum, we organised everything through Zoom, phone calls and emails, working together to create a relaxed photography timeline that suited their day.

An Emotional Wedding Ceremony at Tiffany's Maleny
There's something incredibly special about an intimate wedding where every guest has such an important place in the couple's lives.
With just nine guests, Kelsey and Callum's ceremony at Tiffany's Maleny wedding venue was filled with love, emotion and beautiful family moments.
One of the first moments I loved was watching Callum walk his mum into the chapel before the ceremony. Such a simple, thoughtful gesture, but one that meant so much.
Then came their two gorgeous daughters as flower girls, each bringing their own little personality to the day!
One of the girls wasn't a fan of wearing shoes, and you know what? I absolutely loved that she could just be herself!
I'm a big believer in letting kids be kids at weddings. They don't need to be perfectly behaved or do everything exactly as planned. Those little quirks and spontaneous moments are often what make the most beautiful, genuine photographs.
And then came the vows. Not only did Kelsey and Callum share their heartfelt promises, but their two daughters also shared their own tender vows.
It was such an emotional ceremony, and a beautiful reminder that this wedding wasn't just about two people getting married. It was about celebrating their family and the life they're building together.
This is what I love most about intimate weddings. The meaningful gestures, the happy tears, the little personalities and all those beautiful moments that make your wedding uniquely yours.

When you're having a small wedding with your children and closest family, it's the perfect opportunity to capture some beautiful family portraits.
Everyone is dressed up, looking amazing and celebrating something incredibly special.
For Kelsey and Callum, we made time for different family combinations with their daughters, along with those lovely, natural moments of everyone together.
These are the photographs that become even more meaningful as the years go by.
And because there are fewer guests, we can often capture a wonderful variety of family photos without taking too much time away from the celebrations.
Golden Hour Wedding Photos at One Tree Hill, Maleny
Now, this was a highlight!
After their beautiful wedding celebrations at Tiffany's Maleny, we headed to One Tree Hill for some gorgeous golden hour portraits.
And the transport? A classic Bentley!
Honestly, I was a little obsessed with their whole vibe. The elegant black and white styling, the beautiful classic car and that gorgeous golden sunset over the Maleny countryside.
One Tree Hill is such an iconic Sunshine Coast hinterland photo location, and the soft golden light was absolutely beautiful for their couple portraits.
My local photography tip: If you're planning a wedding at Tiffany's Maleny and would love sunset portraits at One Tree Hill, make sure we allow enough time in your photography timeline for the drive and changing light.
The sunset time changes throughout the year, especially during winter, so I always help my couples plan their photography around the best available light.
