Hi! I’m Lou. I’m not your average Sunshine Coast family photographer and you won’t find stiff poses or trendy filters here. My family photography sessions are all about creating relaxed, fun experiences while capturing natural, timeless photos that truly reflect who your family is.
I believe your family photos should feel real, not forced. Whether you’re a small, cosy family or a big extended crew, I take a laid-back approach that allows genuine moments to unfold naturally. Every session is guided by my 3 C’s philosophy, celebrating your family, your connections and all those cherished memories you’re creating together.

Preparing for family photos can feel overwhelming. Getting everyone on board, deciding what to wear, and finding a date that fits the family calendar can make the whole idea stressful. But don’t give up! You’re creating lasting memories for your family, and that makes you the hero of the story.
I’ve got some simple tips to help you prepare, and I’d love to meet you and your family to capture the way you are right now - joyful, natural, and connected. Whether you live on the Sunshine Coast or are planning a family holiday here, get in touch to find out more about your Sunshine Coast family photography session.
Short & Sweet $297
Short & Sweet sessions are quick, easy & fun family photos that are perfect for documenting those special family milestones throughout the year, or for families who are time-poor. Short & Sweet sessions take place in the Caloundra area on the Sunshine Coast (travel fee applies for outside this area). Between the stunning beaches, scenic downtown, or one of our many green parks, we are sure to find the perfect location for your mini-session!
• Personal pre-shoot consultation – let’s chat and make this a great experience for you. We’ll work out the best location for your photoshoot & I’ll offer ‘what to wear’ advice as well as ‘how to prepare for your family photos’.
• A fun, compact 20 minute photography session, on location in the greater Caloundra area. (postcodes 4551 & 4575) Monday – Friday (+$110 for Sat or Sun session)
• Accommodate up to 5 family members (including immediate family), with the option to include extended family members for an additional fee of $25 per person.
• Pets are welcome! (& free of charge)
• Private Online Gallery to view your proofs.
• 3 Edited digital negatives for download – you choose your favourite 3 photos.
Additional charge for extra images.
• Images supplied in Hi Res (for printing) & Lo Res (for social sharing), in both vibrant colour and timeless black & white.
• Extra images are $65 per image or $350 for the lot.
• Access to online professional print lab, to print your photos to adorn your home or gift to others.
Kindred $797
Kindred sessions are perfect for special occasions such as milestone birthdays, family reunions, family holidays to the Sunshine Coast, or for creating an amazing experience for your family to treasure. Kindred sessions can take place within the Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast (travel fee applies for outside this area). With so many stunning locations from our beautiful beaches to the rolling hills in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, I will help you find the right location for you and your family.
• Personal pre-shoot consultation – let’s chat and make this a great experience for you. We’ll work out the best location for your photoshoot & I’ll offer ‘what to wear’ advice as well as ‘how to prepare for your family photos’.
• Indulge in a 1 hour photography session, on location in the greater Caloundra area (postcodes 4551 & 4575) . Monday – Friday (+$110 for Sat or Sun session)
• Accommodate up to 5 family members (including immediate family), with the option to include extended family members for an additional fee of $25 per person.
• Pets are welcome to join in the fun (free of charge)!
• Receive all your edited digital images.
• Images supplied in Hi Res (for printing) & Lo Res (for social sharing), in both vibrant colour and timeless black & white
• Your own private online gallery, available for four weeks, offering the convenience of downloading your images and sharing them with your nearest and dearest.

Behind the Lens
Hey there, I'm Lou, and I'm not your typical Sunshine Coast family photographer. You see, I started out as a press photographer, learning how to get to know and work quickly with all types of people to ‘get the shot’. But when I jumped into family photography, I stumbled upon something truly special – it's all about love, your family bonds, and creating unforgettable memories.
Family means the world to me. As a mum of twins, my husband and I relish every moment spent with them. Now that they've graduated high school, those early family photos mean even more.
My mission is to capture your family's genuine beauty and joy. I'll guide you, ensuring both stunning shots and your unique family story come to life. I'll still grab that classic "everyone's looking at the camera" photo - which I call my ‘casual formal photos’, but then, we'll dive into a world of perfectly "imperfect" photos, filled with hugs, kisses, laughter, and some good ol' fashioned fun!

Having a professional family photoshoot isn’t just about spending an hour with your photographer and having your photograph taken. It’s about the whole experience, from your initial consultation, to helping you plan what to wear, the best location and time for your photoshoot as well as bringing the energy and enthusiasm to create an amazing experience whilst capturing these once in a life-time memories.
But the most important reason I believe you should hire a professional photographer is that YOU get to be in them. Aside from a few selfies on your smartphone, it’s quite likely that you or your partner are always missing from your family photos, since one of you always has to be behind the camera. The reason I know this, is because it’s true for my family. We once took a family holiday to New Zealand, and when we arrived back home and went through our photos, I couldn’t find a single photo of me in a family photo. Remember, your kids want you in the photo.
I believe photography is an investment, but your images will be priceless.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS?
Both my Short & Sweet and Kindred family photography sessions are for weekdays and include up to 5 people (or immediate family) . You can choose to upgrade to a weekend session for $110 or add extended family members for $25 per person. Short & Sweet session includes 3 digital negatives, you can add extra images for $65 each. Please contact me for full T&C’s and further info.
WE’RE NOT FROM THE SUNSHINE COAST, CAN YOU HELP US FIND A LOCATION?
Of course! I grew up on the Sunshine Coast and I have worked here all my my life, so I know all the best locations for each season of the year.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE SICK OR CANNOT MAKE IT TO PHOTOGRAPH OUR FAMILY? OR SOMEONE IN OUR FAMILY IS SICK?
I like to stay fit and healthy, and so far, I have not missed a shoot. But, if the case should arise, you have two choices, we can reschedule or I can arrange for another professional photographer. I can guarantee you, your replacement photographer is someone I know and trust and who has proficient family photography. If someone in your family is sick, please let me know as soon as possible and we can reschedule.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Oh, this is where some true magic happens. The most important thing you can do is just relax and know I’ve got your back. I have a couple of clear umbrellas so we can get some sweet rain shots. You might even have some gumboots to play around in the puddles. However, if the weather is really set in, we can reschedule to another time for that day, or another day.
DO YOU OFFER PRINTS?
Yes, I offer prints and other print products! Nothing makes us happier than seeing your family photos in print! I have an online print store where you can order professional print products to bring your family photos to life.
HOW DO WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
I deliver your collection of edited images via your own personalised online gallery. It's easy to use and share with your family & friends, no matter where they are in the world. It’s here you can download them onto your computer for safe keeping. I highly recommend My Pro Photo to get your digital negatives printed.
HOW DO WE CONFIRM OUR FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKING WITH YOU?
That’s easy! In order to book and secure your date with me, a $200 non-refundable booking fee is required, the balance is due 1 week before your shoot.
