Congratulations! You’re engaged! This is such an exciting time in your life, but you may be feeling a little bit overwhelmed with everything you have to organise. Well here is seven of my top tips to get you started.
1. Set the Date.
Until you have a date you can’t book anything. You can either pick a date that means something to you, like your first date or a date at your favourite time of year.
2. Location, Location, Location.
Where do you want to get married? On the sand on a beautiful beach, up in the country with rolling green hills? It will help you narrow down your choices if you know where you’d like to get married.
3. Book your venue
Once you’ve chosen which town to get married in, it’s now time to lock in your venue. Narrow down your choices to 3 & visit each one if possible to get a feel of the venue.
4. Choose your bridal party
Get in early and choose your bridal party. Your besties will be with you every step of the way & you want to make sure they’re free for your wedding day.
5. Pick a celebrant
Your celebrant is the person who you can put all your trust in for your marriage ceremony. You want to choose a celebrant that matches your personality.
6. Capture the day
You want to have your wedding day documented beautifully, so for years to come you have those memories to look back on. Booking a professional photographer will ensure those moments are captured.
Drum roll please..........the most important tip of all ............
All you need on your wedding day is the two of you, everything else will fall into place, so just breath and don’t sweat the small stuff.
