Secrets on the Lake is one of the Sunshine Coast's hidden gems. Located on the banks of Baroon Pocket Dam, Secrets has a restaurant, art gallery and the most amazing treehouse accomodation. It's also becoming a popular wedding ceremony and reception venue in Montville.

How did Secrets on the Lake come about?
George and I created Secrets on the Lake. It was a natural progression from farming under the lake. We work well together and it utilised our skills.

Having created our business from scratch and being able to be proud of what we offer.
What is something you would like to achieve this year in the wedding industry?
To continue to assist couples to have the wedding of their dreams by continuing to improve our facilites, gardens, staff skillset and what we can offer.
What was your first wedding at Secrets like?
It poured with rain in the middle of a cyclone so it was moved to the deck of our house and it all worked out thankfully.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
There is no limit to our ideas for improvement and moving forward. In fact the brain doesn’t die and ideas keep coming to the service. The trick is achieving a consensus as we both need to be behind an idea.
What’s your favourite wedding song?
Currently, “I think I want to marry you” by Bruno Mars
What was your wedding song?
I can't remember as I was married 50 years ago. We were piped into the church with a Scottish piper called Joe McDiarmid.
When is your favourite time of year for weddings and why?
From March to November weather is cooler and our gardens flourish.
In 3 words, describe yourself?
Committed, kind and alive.
What was the funniest thing to happen to you at a wedding.
My husband George screaming up to the church late for our wedding and terrified that I might not still be there.
